Black and White Keys by Mari Hall

"Black & White Keys" is a memory of my early fascination with piano. I was quite young when I first sat down in front of those rows of black and white keys. Like other young people, I had a strong determination to do something with them, even though I was not an extremely gifted person with music. I probably made quite a racket, although I don't recall my parents complaining too loudly about it. I never pursued music. I stopped with those early ramblings across the keys of the piano, barely reaching the foot pedals.
